Villa Crispinino

A lovely Villa with big Air conditioned rooms, lots of space, a fantastic pool area and a fantastic view!
Unfortunately, the kitchen equipment is rather spartan, maybe not enough if 9 people, especially wine glasses and water glasses just 7 or 9 each. However, lots of plates and cutlery (knives, spoons, forks etc.).
Very few kitchen knives, which were useless / unfit for using, so we needed to buy kitchen knives to be able to prepare food.
The Fridge is very little, too small even for only 7 people, and the Freezer need to raise the Temperature to 24 in order to keep Ice Cream frozen. No garlic equipment, no cheese cutter.
The Oven is very old, the door to the Oven could not be closed completely so the heat did not stay inside the Oven.
No kitchen machines – only a Blender, which did not work, so we needed to buy a Blender, which we left behind in the Kitchen.
The Outdoor area and the Pool area are fantastic and very spacy, lots of space for sitting around and lots of space with pool furniture.
The View is outstandingly! The areas around the Pool very cleaned and invitingly, and the Pool were checked and cleaned every second day, which were perfect too.
The small, covered Pavilion at the pool area is nice, but maybe too small for even 7 people, and it would have been nice if it was possible to have the Sunbeds in the shadow under covered area – impossible to lay at the Pool
area between 12 and 15.
Excellent service from the owners (or representative) during arrival, during the stay and during departure. Very flexible people, who were available at any time, if necessary. During the end of the first week, the Air-condition
failed in 2 of the rooms, wich we claimed to the owner during Sunday evening, already during Monday afternoon some technician arrived and got it fixed. Perfect!
The cooking classes was a fantastic event – even more than expectation! There were two people (husband and wife) – only 1 person expected – and this Chef couple was fantastic, very nice and friendly, very flexible and they arranged everything. Off course the family did attend the cooking process, but the Chefs arranged and did EVERYTHING – even washing-up! The Chefs brought everything, whatever needed for the whole process, even useful kitchen knives (:)), just everything – the family had the experience like having a Restaurant in their home.Few days before we talk to the Chefs to arrange practicality, time schedule and even good advises about which wine the we could buy for the Dinner. A fantastic experience!
Wine Tours / Tasting Also, a nice experience, maybe too little focus on the wines, too much focus
on the Agriturismo and the areas around. No tours in the Vineyards or the Cellar. The Charcuteries were excellent, the Wines good, only 4 very small glasses of tasting. This Event was not at the same level as the cooking classes. So maybe not worth the price.

All in all, a very satisfied, want to get back to Tuscany, so we will see next time.

We were all amazed at how wonderful Villa Crispinino was. It is better than the pictures and was perfect for our family holiday. Facilities were first rate and the issue we had with the toaster was addressed. There is one thing that needs to be reviewed - check in at 5pm is really not sensible. We did ask for & were granted a 4pm check in - but given the location etc - I believe a 3pm check in would be much more sensible.

Absolutely beautiful villa in a perfect setting.

Villa incantevole dotata di ogni tipo di confort con una vista spettacolare sulla piana sottostante. Proprietari disponibili per ogni esigenza oltre che gentili e cordiali. La villa si presta per vacanze rilassanti ed è situata in un punto strategico per visitare la Val D'Orcia e la Val di Chiana, Siena e Arezzo. Consigliatissima.
