Maria, die Gastgeberin war wirklich toll. Als wir ankamen war ein Obstkorb für uns vorbereitet und Wasser stand im Kühlschrank. Maria hat immer gefragt, ob wir etwas benötigen und hat uns Moussaka als auch Orangenkuchen vorbeigebracht. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!

We stayed at Villa Silentium Ionia for 18 nights, and honestly, it was one of the most memorable holidays we’ve had. The villa is set in a stunning location between Argiroupoli and Kato Poros, with absolutely breathtaking views of the mountains all around. It’s peaceful and quiet, but still really convenient — there are supermarkets, amazing bakeries, traditional tavernas, and gas stations all nearby. The main highway is just a short drive away, which made it really easy for us to explore the rest of the island.

The villa itself is beautiful. It was spotless when we arrived and clearly maintained to a very high standard. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and really functional for a longer stay. The pool was a highlight — it was cleaned every single day and always looked sparkling and inviting. We loved using the outdoor shower and the BBQ area, which made for some great evenings cooking and eating outside. The outdoor seating area was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view, especially with the calming sound of the water feature built into the pool. The upstairs terrace is huge and offers even more incredible views — we spent a lot of time up there just soaking it all in.

Inside, the villa is spacious and comfortable. The rooms are large, and the shared living spaces worked really well for our group. The downstairs shower room was bright and fresh with great water pressure, and the upstairs bathroom was ideal for both showers and baths — especially handy with little ones. There’s air conditioning throughout, but we barely used it thanks to the lovely mountain breeze. Having three smart TVs was a nice bonus too — we could still catch up on our Netflix shows in the evenings.

What really made this stay special, though, were the hosts, Maria and George. I’ve never met such warm, professional, and genuinely caring people. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel completely at home. We were welcomed with a basket full of goodies — fresh fruit, biscuits, wine, and bottled water — which was such a thoughtful touch. Throughout our stay, they were always available and incredibly helpful, offering local tips and even supporting us during a family emergency. They went above and beyond, surprising us with a homemade orange cake and even a cooked meal. It’s rare to come across hosts who care so deeply about their guests’ experience, and we’re so grateful to them.

All in all, Villa Silentium Ionia was everything we hoped for and more. The location, the villa, and especially the hospitality made it a truly unforgettable stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in Crete.

Tout d’abord l’accueil : Maria a été une hôte exceptionnelle ! Elle nous a cuisiné des plats pendant la semaine, elle a pris de nos nouvelles tout le long du séjour, nous avons même eu droit à des petits cadeaux le jour de notre départ, une première lors de tous nos déplacements ! La villa: Conforme à la description , rien ne manque , au contraire ! Lessive, café , jus de fruits, ect… Très calme , résidence fermée avec portail automatique, piscine nettoyée tous les jours à l’aube (discrétion assurée). Bref, c’était parfait !

We had a fantastic 9-night stay at Silentium Villas in Argyroupoli, Crete. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the peaceful atmosphere and stunning surroundings. The villa was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The pool area was a highlight — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Cretan sun, with breathtaking views of the mountains and nature around us. The location is ideal: quiet and private, yet only a short drive to local tavernas, shops, and the beautiful beaches.

Our host Maria was incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ready to help with local tips and recommendations. Her hospitality truly made us feel at home. She even cooked us dinner one night and brought us gifts before we left.
We left Silentium Villas feeling refreshed and grateful for such a memorable experience. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a serene getaway in Crete.

Wir haben Ende September/Anfang Oktober 11 Nächte in der wunderschön gelegenen und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Villa verbracht.Die Villa liegt sehr ruhig auf dem Berg etwas abseits des Dorfes Lappa und ist nur ca. 8 Minuten Autofahrt von einem 3 Kilometer langen Sandstrand entfernt. Es empfiehlt sich für die Anreise die Koordinaten des Standortes in das Navi einzugeben. Die Unterkunft entspricht genau den Bildern und der Beschreibung. Man findet alles vor, was man für einen entspannenden und erholsamen Aufenthalt benötigt. Der Terassenbereich ist sehr schön mit Palmen gestaltet, der Pool wurde täglich gereinigt. Die Gastgeberin Maria ist immer ansprechbar gewesen und hat uns mit sehr leckerem Moussaka und Orangenkuchen, verwöhnt. Die Kommunikation mit ihr hat immer sehr gut geklappt. Der Aufenthalt in der Villa Silencium hat sehr gut gefallen, und wir können uns gut vorstellen, einen weiteren Urlaub dort zu verbringen.

Die Unterkunft hat uns ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Der Empfang war herzlich und wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt.Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin Maria war ausgezeichnet. Sie hat immer sofort reagiert auf unsere Bedürfnisse und Fragen. Außerdem hat sie sich regelmäßig nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigt und sogar mit griechischem Essen überrascht. Empfehlen können wir auch noch einen Besuch bei Marias Mutter im Dörfchen, nur wenige Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Dort gibt's für Deutsche einen Kaffe umsonst????. Mit dem Auto ist alles in unmittelbarer Nähe, Strand, Supermarkt etc. gut zu erreichen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hingehen.

Od začátku naprosto perfektni komunikace a pripraveny dům s dárky od hostitelky. Hostitelka je úchvatná a diky ni jsme se cítili jako doma. Dum s bazénem byl naprosto skvely v moderním stylu a s výhledem na hory. Vse pripravene pro lenošení. Dum je soucasti projektu 3 hostitelských domu, ktere jsou mimo hlavni silnici. Vjezd k domu je trochu strmý a chce to trochu šikovnosti od řidiče. Zjistili jsme, ze vesnice ve ktere je dum, je puvodne starověké mesto Lappa, ktere podle legendy založil král Agamemnon. Historie toho mesta je mozne jeste videt a doporucujeme si precist tyto pribehy a projit se po okoli. Diky a radi doporucime!

First thing - the host Maria. She was wonderful, arranged for a late arrival (1am) and cooked us dinner for when we got there (WOW), she checked in a couple of times throughout our stay and brought us a lovely orange cake that she had baked. Just about the right level of contact for us and food gifts will always win us over ;o). Onto the house - very quiet and secluded, the pictures are bang on, it’s pretty hidden from the road and down in a valley, facilities are high quality and the decoration is fresh and modern. The outside areas are lovely, BBQ space, outside dining, external sofas and seating on the roof terrace. The pool is fantastic, you are getting the picture. All in all a really great house in a good space with fab hospitality!! I’ve got to mention the pool man, he came near enough every day keeping the pool spotless and the garden neat and tidy. What a lovely chap, and when we left he also gave us a gift of chocolate croissants. Greek hospitality - just brilliant!

Der Aufenthalt hat uns außerordentlich gut gefallen. Ein schönes Haus, in dem wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Alles entspricht den Fotos. Sehr angenehm ist die Beleuchtung, die sich gut variieren lässt und auch draußen für stimmiges Licht sorgt. Auf der Terrasse findet man immer ein schattiges Plätzchen durch die Überdachungen. Schön sind draußen auch die bequemen Sessel und das Sofa. Der Pool wurde täglich gereinigt und ist groß genug um Spaß zu haben und ein paar kleine Bahnen zu schwimmen. Die Gastgeberin Maria ist sehr nett und hat immer wieder nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist, oder ob man etwas benötigt. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist noch umfangreicher als angegeben. Es gibt auch eine Waschmaschine, Mikrowelle, Föhn und Bügeleisen. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Beide Schlafzimmer haben gleich große Betten. Das obere Schlafzimmer hat keine Tür. Wer Privatsphäre haben möchte, muss man das berücksichtigen. Insgesamt ist es sehr ruhig. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Everything perfect. The house is quietly located in the mountains, in the beautiful little village of Argiroupoli. With sweet cafes and taverns there and the springs are just a short walk away. Nevertheless, you can quickly get to the beach (10min. by car). You are also centrally located on the island and can go on day trips in all directions, e.g. to Chania, Rethymno, Arkadi and even Heraklion is easily accessible via coastal road. We also went to the great beaches of the southern coast. The new villa is very clean and offers everything you need for a good stay: well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, washing machine, a well-kept pool, grill, nice outdoor furniture, etc. A bakery is 2 min. walk away and there are also supermarkets close by. There are TVs (SAT) in all rooms and WiFi. The owner Maria and her family are great people, very warm and hospitable. The family lives up in the village and can be reached quickly. You can also order breakfast or dinner. Overall, highly recommend!

What a wonderful, serene place to wind down. The pool made the heat redundant. Maria and her family are truly beautiful people and so courteous and professional. Holiday of a lifetime in a luxury villa in a fantastic location.
