Villa Rocca

The review starts with our feedback that Villa Rocca is an absolutely stunning villa set in a peaceful setting with amazing views. Booking process was great, our local contact in Sicily was also very helpful with any queries we had.
Whilst the villa was lovely and we enjoyed our stay there are a few things listed below that we wanted to feed back as we felt there were aspects where the villa really needs a little loving care.
kettle full of limescale, kitchen sides looked old, stained and a bit grubby, Spare blankets and throws that we could use on the beds ( and was needed due to being cold) were stained and did not look overly clean. Garden chairs outside the front door of villa were ripped
No welcome book in villa which would of been helpful. We didn't know what to do with the rubbish as there were small bins with 3 different colour lids but no info as to what to put in what bins.
TV showed no channels in English. A TV service with more choice would of been appreciated. a TV upgrade to a smart TV that has netflix etc... so you can login to your own account would be ideal.
The shower trays were cover in limescale , and especially bad in the annex shower which always leaked water across the floor into the other back room.
There were table tennis balls in the bowl in the kitchen but no bats to play ? please provide bats or the table tennis table is then redundant..
The pool was extremely cold and needed topping up with water to make sure the infinity effect worked - as the pool level was low, water only flowed over the right edge. Only one pool light in the pool was working. A couple of the outside lights, one by the front door not working and one shining on to the trees on the right side looking at the pool.

Die Aussicht ist wunderbar. Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist wirklich eine Herausforderung, 4-Rad ist zu empfehlen! Nicht einmal alle Taxis wollten hinauf fahren. Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt gut gefallen

The house is wonderfully located, the last 500m is a steep little road but easy to drive. The landscape is breathtaking. The furniture are ok but would deserve to be replaced for some of them in the kitchen. We ate all the time on the wonderful terrace and the pool is lovely. We highly recommend Villa Rocca for Italy lovers as we are! You won’t be disappointed !

We had a great time at Villa Rocca! It is a very nice house, lots of space for 9 persons, enough tables, chairs, enough cutlery, crockery pots and pans! The road up was challenging especially when it is dark and rainy, but after the first time it will become easier. The contact with the care taker was very good as well. Thank you!

What an amazing villa! Offering all the comforts and luxuries we could ask for. The location was perfect, with stunning views. The owner was super friendly. Overall it exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time with a group of 9 friends.

Nous étions un groupe de 9 adultes et nous avons apprécié notre court séjour à villa Rocca malgré la route très étroite pour y arriver (en van 9 personnes c'était compliqué). Le logement était fonctionnel, la literie confortable et nous étions ravis de trouver de quoi manger en arrivant. Notre hôte a été réactif et de très bons conseils.

Really great villa, everything was so pretty, peaceful and a well stocked villa.

Privacy, View and Space for a good Price: For our Group of 8 (4 couples) more than enough space and regarding the price for this well located and calm villa with a breathtaking view and an often used pingpong table some small things were easy to look over (e.g. some kitchen aids and the shower upstairs did not work well). We would love to come again. Thank you for having us!

The villa was stunning and exactly as described in the photos. The house is situated about a 15 minute drive from Cefalu, but we were fine with that as we were looking for a little get away. Everything was very clean, well equipped and they left welcome snacks and wine which were well received! We had a lovely time lounging by the pool and driving into Cefalu for dinners and activities.

We had a week in the house. 6 persons, and we could easily have been +2 more. Easter to ger there by car as expected, it is up hill but totally fine. Great communication, nice and helpful hosts and everything is as described in photos! Recommondations!

Villa Rocca is a beautiful villa with a lovely pool on top of a hill. We stayed there with 10 people and it never felt too small (four bathrooms helps). It was a really nice choice for vacationing in Cefalu. One thing to know is that the villa is on top of a very steep hill that can be a little intimidating for uninitiated drivers so take it slow on your first drive up there.

Tough drive the first time but view was worth it

Amazing house in the hills of chefalu. Well equipped kitchen and sitting area for 10 people, but the annex is not ideal, at least for the time of year we were there, as it’s quite damp in the rooms. The main house fits 7, and works amazingly. The house is really good at keeping the cold in, which I guess works well in the summer, but it’s a bit too cold for the fall for my opinion (had not packed the correct clothes at least). A bit difficult to find the house the first time, so recommend to arrive when it’s light. The communication with the host is spot on and super fast. Good restaurant tips for cefalu as well. I would highly recommend the house.

Wonderful location with beautiful views and away from the Cefalu crowds! The house is very well equipped and large (we were 2 families with children). We discovered that the pool was shallow but we hadn't read the announcement properly. Still very nice after a hot day hiking or visiting Palermo! Thank you Andrea for the warm welcome!

Everything was just incredible - great place to chill with family and friends.
Villa is situated around 500 m above sea level so in the off season (we are in the beggining of the October) it may be a little chilly (around 18 Celsius degrees outside in the evening).

Beautiful villa. Had a very good holiday. Pool and views are fabulous.
Villa spotlessly clean and enjoyed spacious open plan.
We had small baby in our family group so spent more time at villa- enjoyed eating outside. Watching the nuthatch and firecrest in the garden trees- bee eaters overhead- were an added bonus! Enjoyed table tennis too!
Downside- winding track to house- missed the road up to house a couple of times!- not a big deal though- and definitely worth it to have such private peaceful house. Thank you!

Wir hatten eine traumhafte Woche in der Villa Rocca. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist sehr steil und nicht einfach, jedoch wird man dafür mit einem Traumhaften Haus und Blick auf Cefalu belohnt. Während es in der Stadt extrem heißt war, hatten wir oben auf dem Berg jederzeit ein angenehmes Klima und das Haus bietet auch genug Schattenplätze, falls es doch mal heiß werden sollte.
Das Haus an sich ist in einem guten Zustand bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten, welche uns aber nicht weiter gestört haben.
Der Pool ist ein Traum und es gibt um das Grundstück herum auch einiges zu erkunden.

Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

End of July 2019. The villa is situated on a hill about 530 m above sea level. Which explains the very nice temperature compared to the sticky heat in Cefalu. Beautiful view, nice pool, comfortable rooms, well equipped kitchen. Only regret, given the location, one has to drive between 100 and 200 km to visit those interesting sites, of which Sicily has a lot

Beautiful house with lovely view. We were unlucky with the weather but staying here when it's hot must be absolutely lovely. Cefalu is a perfect sized town to wander around in snd som good shoppung on the upper streets.

Det er et fint hus der ligger rigtigt flot med udsigt ned over havet og byen Cefalu.
Det var dog svært at varme op, da det var køligt vejr de første dage.
Den opvarmede pool var ikke spor varm, den blev forsøgt lavet om torsdagen. Om lørdagen da vi tog hjem var det måske lidt varmere?

We stayed in the villa with 5 persons, so we had enough space.
In the house you will find all the things you need to have a nice holiday. Because the villa is situated high un the hill, the temperature dropped in the evening, and it felt very cold.
A rental car is handy, for the way up to the villa is very steep. Cefaly is nice to explore, enough nice restaurants to eat the real Italian food. We really enjoyed out stay!

Dreams come true in this villa! It is beautifully furnished and equally beautiful. We followed the tips and were very happy with it. We were also in the nature park, definitely one excursion worthwhile. We will definitely come back sometime in summer. Many thanks to the whole team!

Die Villa ist wunderschön und bestens gelegen um die Nordküste Siziliens zu erforschen. In Cefalu gibt es eine Vielzahl an Bars und sehr guten Restaurants und es ist sehr lustig, den Sizilianern im Alltag zuzusehen.
Die Inneneinrichtung der Villa ist hell und gemütlich und der Garten mit dem Schwimmbad und dem atemberaubendem Blick sind einzigartig. Wir empfehlen die Villa und die gute Betreuung und Unterstützung bei der Wahl sehr gerne weiter.

This is the best place to relax and recharge your batteries! It is wonderfully quiet, inviting, luxurious and ideally located. A holiday can not be better!

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von Freundinnen in dieser Villa und hätten es besser nicht treffen können um zusammenzusitzen, die Gegend mit der wunderbaren Aussicht zu genießen und uns einfach wohl zu fühlen in dieser schönen Villa. Sie ist sehr gut ausgestattet um zusammen kochen zu können und um die Ruhe im Garten am Pool zu geniessen. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt! Gerne kommen wir wieder!
