Montegufoni, Montegufoni 27

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in Montegufoni. Het is een geweldige beleving om hier te mogen verblijven, (wij zaten er totaal 12 nachten) Het verblijf (nummer 27) is modern, groot en comfortabel. Een paar tips om van een 9 een 10 te maken wat ons betreft:

- bedden vervangen voor box-springs. (eerste week een beetje rugpijn)
- airco toevoegen, het kan er echt bloedheet worden.
- keuken uitrusting was beperkt, wij hadden bijvoorbeeld ons eigen koffie automaat meegenomen wat een beetje vreemd is, bovendien was er geen oven.
- Een smart TV zou de luxe beleving helemaal af maken.

Verder niks dan lof, zeer indrukwekkend kasteel, bijzonder aardig personeel, fijn restaurant en een heerlijk zwembad.

Air Condition was missing. The apartment was very generous and nice. The castle is also a very nice place.

Hermoso castillo. A nuestra llegada, de noche. Nos recibieron las luciérnagas y un ambiente místico del lugar. Franchesco muy amable nos recibió pasada la hora de check in y hasta me ayudó con las maletas. El restaurante sirve una comida deliciosa!!

our stay at Castille di Montegufoni was restful. the grocery store that is in the nearby town is very well stocked and everyone in the town was super friendly. the staff at the Castille were so hospitable. Gabriel the grounds keeper and late night front desk person SAVED our first night there. from our 2 weeks traveling through Italy he was one of probably the 3 nicest people we met in out whole trip. the front desk ladies were also so kind! they helped arrange a pasta cooking class for my children while my husband and i had a private wine tasting. the front desk person also helped coordinate a driver that basically became our personal driver the entire time we were in Florence.

Amazing stay, excellent staff, breathtaking settings

Alles sehr sauber und geschmackvoll. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Ambiente ist unschlagbar.
Die Küche war allerdings sehr dürftig ausgestattet, ein Küchenmesser im Gepäck ist hilfreich

Pretty quiet location in very beautiful Tuscan surroundings; ideal for day trips to towns and countryside; very exciting for children exploring the area; clean swimming pool to relax after day trips; restaurant with a beautiful terrace; unfortunately no breakfast

Séjour (15j) dans appartement spacieux du château, traversant cour/jardin. Manque la climatisation (plus de 30°C) le soir à l'intérieur, manque les moustiquaires, cafetière, vaisselle sommaire dans kitchenette basique. Pourrait améliorer service de renseignement des choses à voir dans la région. Restaurant: service très bien, qualité de la nourriture médiocre.

Ist was Besonderes

This was a dream stay. I traveled with my husband and our four kids. We all loved it. My teens loved all the photo opps in a castle surrounding by such beauty. My younger kids were mesmerized by the castle and couldn't get enough of the pool. My husband and I loved it all. The cafe was a treat. Best cappuccinos in Italy and the sweetest girl who runs it. There is just enough options for breakfast to not have to go into town. The room itself was VERY SPACIOUS and BEAUTIFUL. We went in early August, so it was a bit warm, but there are fans. SUCH A DELIGHTFUL STAY.

Excellentes vacances à Montegufoni, cadre somptueux, cohabitation harmonieuse avec les autres hôtes des lieux, accueil agréable, belle piscine. On recommande chaudement. Seul hic, le logement sous les toits était très chaud (pas de ventilateur) et l'équipement (vaisselle) un peu court.

Nous avons adoré ce lieu, et nous avons passé d'excellente vacances. Nous recommandons a tous de venir séjour dans ce somptueux château. Nous reviendrons certainement pour continuer à profiter de cette merveilleuse région qu'est la Toscane.

Excellent location half an hour by car from Firenze old town. Beautiful old castle/place. Ample rooms, well kept, clean. Minimalistic kitchen and equipment (OK for breakfast and snack). Good restaurant with beautiful terrace. Ideal for resting combined with cultural and gastronomical escapades.

We stayed at Castello di Montegufoni 4-11 July 2011. Everyone there was amazingly friendly and helpful! The reception folks gave excellent advice and were a great help on where to go, what to see, and how to get there -- they are real experts on the area. They were so very nice our entire stay, and they even loaned us 2 fans for use while we were there. The chef in their restaurant made us really feel like family. He came out to greet the guests every night. My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary there and he really made the celebration dinner special!
About the only complaint I can think of is no air conditioning, and bring bug spray since you'll have to leave the windows open at night.
In all, Montegufoni is beyond beautiful with an incredible location that's central to all of Tuscany! I would DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone!
