Bigiolo a Melazzano

Muchas gracias a Matteo por su amabilidad y atención. Fantástica Villa, tranquila, en un paraje idílico rodeado de viñas y bosques. Nos regaló unas botellas de vino de su familia para que la degustáramos. La única pega fue que llegamos en plena ola de calor y mosquitos, pero aún así mereció la pena. Estratégicamente ubicada para visitar Florencia, Siena, Pisa… Del pueblo cercano de Grieve in Chianti recomiendo cenar en La Botoglia del moro. Comida exquisita y trato familiar. Totalmente recomendable Eso sí, imprescindible coche.

We (4persons) spent two wonderful relaxing weeks in this beautiful, peaceful place of soul and power in the middle of the Tuscan hills with a fantastic view of the Chianti landscape! Absolute peace and silence, a large garden with many different places, seating and lounging options, a nice pool area, pure relaxation in an old farmer house with a lot of charm and atmosphere. Unique! The beauty of this place is impressive and incomparable. The house is very tastefully decorated, old and new style perfectly combined. The rooms are all very nice and differently furnished, the beds very comfortable, we slept wonderfully. The kitchen is very well and exceptionally equipped and it is great joy to cook there. Everything you could wish for you will find there. Nothing is missing. The environment inspired us a lot to be creative, to paint and to play games together.

Matteo and Paolo are exceptional hosts, very personable, helpful, friendly and exceedingly generous. The owner lives close to the house, but you barely notice him. Paolo produces excellent wine, we recommend absolutely to enjoy and buy it! The town of Greve in Chianti has a nice atmosphere and offers everything you need to take good care of yourself, simply to drink coffee and taste the many typical Italian delicacies. It´s a very nice walk to Greve or you use your car. From there, excursions to the surrounding area and cities are perfect if you want to leave the peace and quiet.

We would like to come again to this extraordinary place!

We enjoyed very much our stay at Bigiolo a Melazzano. We are a family of 5. The kids had much fun in the swimming pool! We had spots to relax between the olive trees and the vines. It is an amazing place we do recommend to visit the region with kids or friends.
Moreover the owner and the agency were quickly available when we had a question.

The Villa is lovely,rustic and charming and is set in amongst olive trees and vineyards. Great spacious grounds for our use.
Paolo the friendly owner lives very close by and was attentive. We saw him everyday tending to the pool and to his vines.
The Villa is built on different levels and so there are steps in the property and outside.nb. some steps are steep.
The third bedroom upstairs is not easy to access and not suitable for young children or elderly.The bedroom has deep open wooden steps to it and needs a handrail or bar to help.

Au milieu des oliviers, des vignes et de la forêt, une propriété isolée, calme, un jardin magnifique. La maison est rustique, bien équipée, propre. La literie confortable, la cuisine bien équipée, la maison est spacieuse. La salle de bains commune a un confort sommaire, celle de la suite parentale est plus confortable . La maison est située à 7 minutes en voiture de grève, petit village charmant où l’on trouve tout ce qui est nécessaire et d’innombrables restaurants. Idéalement située entre Florence et Sienne Un circuit de promenade facile de 12 kms à travers la forêt, passe devant la maison. Matteo et son père sont adorables, prévenants et discrets. Bref, un séjour toscan inoubliable.

Bigiolo was such a nice stay in the chianti hills. The house was well equipped, private, and comfortable. The grounds are stunning and much work and care have gone into making them beautiful. We loved eating, relaxing, and playing games outside. The location was perfect for exploring the area. Nearby Greve has everything and while super close, we also felt like we were remote while in the villa. We drove a car (easy driving) and also used the train in Figline Voldarno when we didn't want to drive into Florence. Paolo and Matteo were perfect hosts taking care of everything. We wouldn't hesitate to return to Bigiolo!

A beautiful and peaceful location - close to amenities but off the beaten track. Paolo was super kind and helpful - often around but not at all intrusive. Lovely pool and comfy beds. Good wi-fi and smart bathrooms. We are a family with 3 teenagers and it suited us very well. Wouldn't be ideal for young children - lots of steps and drops!

Tolle Lage! Super netter Vermieter, der sehr leckeren Wein macht - unbedingt probieren! Der Garten ist sehr schön und mit viel natürlichem Schatten. Das Haus hat eine gute Ausstattung und viel Platz. Wir hatten einen sehr entspannten Urlaub, in einer Gegend in der Toskana mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Der Ort Greve ist charmant und es gibt einen schönen Ortskern mit Markttag am Samstag.

Wir waren für eine Woche zu zweit in diesem Haus. Ein wunderschönes Grundstück zwischen Pinien, Weinreben und Olivenbäumen, schöner gepflegter Pool. Chianti at its best.
Das Haus ist mit dem typischen Charme der Chianti-Landhäuser eingerichtet, ungefähr so wie die Einrichtungen unserer Großeltern. Aber das hilft, um auch im Haus in die Chianti-Welt einzutauchen.
Der Eigentümer, der zurückhaltend aber sehr hilfreich zur Seite steht, ist eine ganz feine sehr sympathische Persönlichkeit. Es war eine großartige Woche.

Lovely house, fabulous setting. Host is very friendly and the wine is delicious.

"A lovely villa just a few minutes' drive from the town of Greve in Chianti with all the convenience this brings for getting to the weekly market and other shops and restaurants. Despite this, the location is remote enough that at night you can hear nothing but the crickets and see countless stars - fantastic! There was plenty of room for three of us and we had everything we needed, including a clean and well-equipped kitchen. The swimming pool is a good size, and was an ideal way to relax in the late afternoon after spending the day exploring the local area. Located in the middle of a small but working vineyard belonging to the owner, and with views over the beautiful surrounding hills and valleys, you'd be hard pushed not to enjoy your time here."

La parfaite maison de vacances, suffisamment isolée pour un séjour reposant, mais à seulement cinq minutes du centre ville. Charmante propriété à l'équipement très complet, propre, proposant de magnifiques salles de bains et une piscine fantastique. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les bouteilles de vin provenant des vignes du propriétaire offertes en cadeau d'accueil. Nous ne saurions recommander assez cette maison. Nous planifions déjà notre prochaine visite!

Wir haben uns im Ferienhaus Bigiolo a Melazzano sehr wohl gefühlt, es ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet, eine sehr gelungene Mischung aus alt und neu. Wir werden ganz sicher wieder einen Urlaub dort verbringen.

Wonderful villa in a quiet vineyard. Their wine was excellent. A perfect location for exploring Chianti and Tuscany. The village of Greve is very convenient. The villa is really well equipped. The owner, Paulo, was very helpful.

Truly special spot, you feel as if you have the valley to yourself, but are only minutes away from Greve. The host is very gracious. Highly recommended.

Tranquil splendid hideaway only minutes from Greve in Chianti. A well kept and cozy house just like we had hoped for. All facilities available in and around the house. We cooked great meals as well as dined at great recommendations left by the house owner. Certainly a place to return to.
