Villa Luciano

Great property with lots to offer! Of course its an old house, and there is lots of bugs in Tuscany so when you book it know this, its such a great space!! The kids enjoyed the yard, the adults enjoyed the view and the owner and his helper were extremely responsive and helped us very quickly with any questions.

We had a great stay. The house is on top of a Mountain. So You have a great view over the landscape and arezzo. The next supermarket and the old town is just a short ride away. The house keeper war very friendly and helpful. The kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was clean, the bedrooms, bathroom and the pool was very nice. One star less, because the pictures of the inside are a bit different from the reality and the living room has a big pool f a weird smell

Villa Luciano is located on the top of the hills outside Arezzo with an stunning view. The one-way up is a little bit steep with a lot of curves, but exciting. The house is charming but also very old and looks inside as a museum. But the bedrooms with airco are ok. Outside with the different levels in the garden it is really great to chill out out at the pool or somewhere under a pergola. Absolute privacy. It was a pity that we had 3 evenings in a row NO water because of a shutdown of the electricity. It has to do with bathroom (bagno 2) after taking a shower. After a couple of hours then you can switch finally the button 'up' again from the electricity board. The very friendly owner came the third evening and problems was solved. The BBQ (gas) was really great and easy to use and we used it almost every evening ! The wifi was working well, but only in the sitting room because of the thick walls.
Sorry, I would like to give a tip: It had been very nice if there was by arriving something like a welcome basket with a bottle of water or wine, some fruit, basic/local food or whatever. Now, after already a long autotrip, we had to go down again 20 minutes for the first groceries. Off course we understand that it is high season, so the price per week is firm. But at the end of the stay we also had to pay extra for the electricity, gas and cleaning € 496,-. And we had a small dog and in the Payment notes was said: € 50 per dog but not per week. So at the end we had to pay 2x € 50,-?!
When you want absolute privacy and quietness with a beautiful view, villa Luciano is top. And Arezzo is nearby also with a very good train-connection with Florence and the airport. Thank you for staying, family Sebo

Overall, the description of the property matched with what we got. Just a few points we would like to highlight though :
- WIFI only worked in the sitting areas and outside only next to the modem. Not that this is a negative towards the owner, but could be better described in the overall information
- cleanliness could be better : some things cannot be avoided (like spiderwebs), but e.g. the hood in the kitchen was very greasy and we found some dirty dishes in the cupboards. And of course due to older furniture, some cupboards smelt so we did not put clothes inside.
- the outside furniture could use some maintenance / check up
- At a certain point in time, water turned green, but owner came immediately to sort it out. It was a pitty, but the owner did his best to accommodate and gave us a bit of compensation.
- In the description it may be helpful to mention the narrow road to get to the property - it may feel a bit scary to some people.
Very nice place to be with family and enjoy the outside living. views are stunning.
So overall, it was a good experience. We enjoyed our stay. We could recommend it with the little points clarified above.

Overall good. Kitchen is well equipped (2 frigdes, gas stove), very nice spot, really quiet. Price is perfect for what you get. The sanitation installations are not as reliable as in a city with a real sewing system. Some minor things (broken armrest on one chair outside, some screws on the pergola were loose, two pans were not so good anymore). Great pizza place (use enough flour). Would recommend for people who like quiet, cooking. Important for dog-owners: The compound is fenced in, so no doggo should get out. But if you have a small dog whos hobby is to bust out, maybe go into the hardware store (it's called "OBI" and is in Arezzo) and buy some provisional fence to close the gaps.

The area is lovely and the pool is great. The bathrooms and a/c need repairs though.

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Luciano. We stayed during the October half term and were blessed with good weather c. 26 degrees. The villa had everything we needed with ample room for our large family, we probably only used 1/3rd of the house. The outside space was truly spectacular with views from the pool and jacuzzi over vin yards and olive groves and the town of Arezzo. We travelled to Siena easily by car and to Florence by train, parking at the station in Arezzo. A perfect spot for both relaxing in the countryside and exploring nearby cities and tourist attractions. Luciano was friendly and accommodating, and we hope to return again.

Mein Partner und ich waren im Oktober in der Villa. Kurz vorweg: der Start war etwas unschön, da wir nicht darauf gefasst waren, dass die Villa von Innen wirklich So alt ist. Es sind auch viel zu wenige Fotos von Innen zu sehen!

Aber nach einer Weile haben wir uns es gemütlich eingerichtet und der Vermieter Luciano ist ein absoluter Schatz!

Der Whirlpool war unser Highlight. Bei Sonnenuntergang im warmen Wasser, ein Glas Wein in der Hand und die traumhaft schöne Landschaft. Alleine deswegen würden wir wieder kommen.

Aber das Haus müsste dringend renoviert werden. Aber der Preis ist angemessen, das Anwesen ist riesengroß.

Wir haben uns superwohl gefühlt an diesem Ort. So wohl, dass wir gar nicht viel unternommen haben, sondern die Umgebung ums Haus genossen. Obwohl es nicht einfach ist das alte Haus sauber zu halten, hat man sich Mühe gegeben, möglichst alles blitzblank zu bekommen. Im Oktober war es etwas kühl, aber die Heizung oder das Cheminée brachten schnell eine gute Temperatur. Dankbar waren wir auch für den Geschirrspüler. Und das Jacuzzi mit Aussicht ist der Hit

Villa Luciano is a very spectacular villa. The building dates back to 1560, the furniture and all the details in the house are just breathtaking. So is the view towards Arezzo valley, even better than in the photos! Upon arrival we couldn't believe that there are 37 curves on a hilly road before reaching the villa but we got used to it. It gives a very remote feeling though there are some other houses nearby (the only thing we heard was some remote barking on one evening). We spoke in Italian with Luciano who is such a nice and warm gentelman, very helpful and also creative (hints inside the house). He gave the key and provided us with instructions. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and also some refreshing swim in the pool. When watching TV, there are two different digital boxes for the channels (for Germans and for the others, Italian channels included). The beds are comfortable, having shower in the bigger bathroom is slightly easier but we managed everything. There is even a little gym if you feel the need :) Also a place for cooking your own pizza. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to enjoy playing billiard but the room seemed very appealing for that. We absolutely loved our stay and we would definately return for the next trip to discover some others of the numerous treasures in Tuscany area!

Very nice holiday home in a beautiful setting. The owner Luciano responded quickly and service minded to all questions and issues, that we had. Definitely a perfect choice for the large family holiday.

Ideal für Hunde, da das ganze Grundstück eingezäunt ist.
Großer sauberer Pool und Whirlpool.
Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet.

Die Lage des Objektes ist super gelegen für Ausflüge ( max. 2 Std. bis San Marino / Florenz / Siena ).

Sehr schönes Steinhaus, sauber und gemütlich! Der Garten ist schön, der Whirlpool klasse und das Schwimmbad unverzichtbar! Wir haben viel von der Gegend gesehen und uns sehr gut erholt!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem Ferienhaus! Sehr zu empfehlen ist der Whirlpool! Die Umgebung ist wunderschön und das Haus gepflegt und sehr gross. Der Besitzer ist sehr sympathisch, so wie man sich einen italienischen Gastgeber vorstellt. Vielen Dank! Wir kommen wieder!

La casa sta in una posizione bellissima, sia per godersi la campagnia sia per visitare Umbria e Toskana.
Era tutto pulito e spazioso, giusto per un grande gruppo di amici. E anche con Luciano eravamo subito amici!
